When do I get paid?

The Lee Group pays weekly. Checks are mailed every Thursday at noon, and direct deposits post on Thursday at midnight. We strongly encourage all employees to take advantage of direct deposit as we can not control how long it may take for the US Postal Service to deliver our check.

How do I turn in my time card?

Time cards are due on Monday by noon. There is a number on each time card where you can fax the completed time card at any time. You may also drop the time card at either Lee Group location or mail it to the office. Please note that a delay in turning in your time card may result in a delay in receiving your pay check.

It’s after hours and I need to talk to a Lee Group representative. What should I do?

If you have a question or concern and our offices are closed, you have several options:

  • Send your staffing manager an email
  • Call our main line and leave a message on the after hours mailbox
  • If it is an emergency, call the company cell phone number and leave a message.
  • Call the company cell phone number and leave a message
  • Visit our Facebook page and leave a message on the company profile
  • Send a tweet to @LEEGROUPHR

I am sick and won’t be able to make it to work today. What should I do?

You must notify The Lee Group as soon as you know that you will miss work due to sickness. We will then take the necessary steps to notify the appropriate parties at the client site. If you are notifying your staffing manager after hours, please follow the proper steps as outlined in your employee handbook. If there are additional client specific steps you must take, please do so according to your orientation.

I would like to apply for work through The Lee Group, what should I do?

Please fill out our online application found under Apply Online. If you have difficulty accessing the internet, please fax a resume to 757-873-0792 or drop a resume at any of our locations.

I was registered with The Lee Group several years ago. If I would like to actively seek employment through The Lee Group again, what should I do?

The best way to bring your file current with our organization is though a simple phone call. Please call our main line at 757-873-0792 and tell the representative who answers the phone that you would like to update your file. You will be directed to a Lee Group employee that can help you.

I ran out of time cards, what should I do?

Simply give us a call and we can get you more copies of time cards immediately. You also have the option of accessing our website to find a downloadable copy.

I have an interview with The Lee Group, What do I need to bring with me for my interview?

First, please come prepared for a professional interview. We expect to see you dressed professionally. This shows us that you take your interview seriously. As far as documentation is concerned, you will need the following:

  • Resume or list of previous employers
  • Employment references (professional – at least 2 and personal)
  • Documentation that shows you are eligible to work in the United States, one of which has to be a valid, government issued photo ID

-Examples of documents used: U.S. Passport, Driver’s License, ID Card, Military ID Card, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate.

Does The Lee Group drug test and background check?

Yes we do. You must submit to a pre-employment drug screening, done in our office for your convenience, and you must submit to a pre-employment background check. Please note that our policies for background and drug screens differ based on each client’s needs and practices.

Are there any benefits available to me when I am on temporary assignments or temporary to hire assignments with The Lee Group?

Yes. Our employee handbook outlines the available benefits as does our website. If your question cannot be addressed using the materials provided, please contact your staffing manager. You also have the option of calling our main number. Your call will be directed to an appropriate person to answer your question.

  • In October of 2012 I was laid off from my job. I mentioned this to my hairdresser who gave me the business card of Sheryl Dinger at The Lee Group. I thought that I didn’t need help finding a new job, it would be no problem. Two months later I still had no leads so I called Sheryl. I was able to interview with her before the week was out and she already had a lead on a job. Sheryl prepped me for the interview with the company with valuable insight into what the company was looking for, what they did and the type of employee they were looking for.     My name is Gerry Rivera presently working for ABC I was given the opportunity to work with this company thru The Lee Group staffing agency. I was out of work for 2 months when Mrs. Cindy Harp contacted me. She told me that she got a position for me for one of their long time customer and my experience is a good fit and She is absolutely right, after I met Mr. Dan Gauldin of ABC.     I moved in the area in 2008 and was seeking employment. I searched online and came across the Lee Group. My need was crucial to them. They took my skills and qualifications and found a job that was a good fit for me. They kept in contact with me throughout the temporary employment process, which later became my full time employment. And even after my temporary services were no longer required they were still intentional about checking on my well being.   • My name is Betty Hall and I have had to awesome experiences with The Lee Group.  My first encounter I went to the office in Chesapeake and spoke with Sheryl Dinger. She said she needed 3 people to work 2nd shift at TFC recycling I replied no you need 2 people.  She then asked if I was a morning or evening person again I replied I’m an unemployed person.  I went to work and after being there for 3 months I was hired on permanently.

    I had been at TFC for a year.   Just by luck I ran into Sheryl Dinger.  We talked and I told her I was still at TFC and I asked her if she had anything else.   She said yes.  I put in my resignation at TFC and started working at Coresix.  Ater working again for 3 months I became permanent.
