Steve Vise is Staffing and Business Development Manager at The Lee Group in the firm’s Richmond, VA office. He focuses on identifying ideal job assignments for potential employees, and he plays a key role in maintaining client relationships, leading marketing activities to generate business, and negotiating new contract agreements.

A native of Mechanicsville, VA, Steve joined the firm in 2016 after proudly retiring from the U.S. Army. He served as an Infantryman and a Recruiting and Retention NCO, and his last assignment was as a Recruiting and Retention Master Trainer.

Steve is laser focused on providing truly exceptional service to the clients he serves, while also building on The Lee Group’s reputation as the best employer in the business. It’s that service level and earned reputation that underscores The Lee Group difference for Steve.

What goes into The Lee Group service is a significant level of time and commitment by Steve and his team. He considers this critical in an increasingly competitive market, as finding the right job quickly can really impact so much more than just an individual going to work.

A people person at heart, Steve places great importance on having a positive impact on the individuals he comes in contact with at The Lee Group. He describes the time he interviewed an older gentleman who had been laid off after more than a decade with an employer. After searching for work unsuccessfully, the man felt his age would prevent him from ever getting a fair shake. But Steve got to know the man, and he could see that he had an unbridled work ethic and if given the chance, would run circles around most. Steve placed him with a client, where he has proven himself day after day. For Steve, the gratitude the man repeatedly expresses, and knowing the joy that employment brought to the man and his family is unmatched.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in interdisciplinary studies with concentrations in business and military studies from Liberty University. He also earned an Associate of Arts degree with a business concentration from the school.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys life as a family man and outdoorsman. His spare time is spent with his family, taking kids to practice or cheering them on from the sideline, and going to Friday football games. He also likes hunting, fishing behind the house, and making new four wheeler trails in the woods.
